Îíà - ìîëîäàÿ àôðèêàíêà, ïåðååçæàåò â Ðèì, ãäå ïîñåëÿåòñÿ â ñòàðîì áîãàòîì îñîáíÿêå íà ïðàâàõ äîìðàáîòíèöû. Îí - ñêðîìíûé è ñòåñíèòåëüíûé àíãëè÷àíèí, ïèàíèñò, çàòâîðíèê. Äàåò óðîêè ìóçûêè è ïðàêòè÷åñêè íå âûõîäèò çà ãðàíèöû ñâîåãî îñîáíÿêà. Êàæäûé äåíü îíà íàâîäèò ïîðÿäîê â åãî äîìå, à îí èãðàåò íà ðîÿëå. Îíè ïðàêòè÷åñêè íå ðàçãîâàðèâàþò. Íî ìåæäó íèìè íà÷èíàåò ïðîèñõîäèòü ÷òî-òî íåâåðîÿòíîå, óëîâèìîå òîëüêî íà ÿçûêå ìóçûêè. Ó íèõ ñîâñåì íåìíîãî âðåìåíè äî íà÷àëà "îñàäû".  ýòîì ôèëüìå ñïîðàçèòåëüíîé ãàðìîíèåé ñëèâàþòñÿ ìóçûêà è âèçóàëüíûé ðÿä, öâåò, æåñòû, âçãëÿäû - âñå ýòî äåðæèò çðèòåëÿ äî øîêèðóþùåãî êîíöà. Àêòåðñêàÿ èãðà âûøå âñÿêèõ ïîõâàë. Íüþòîí è Òüþëèñ, êàçàëîñü áû, ñîâåðøåííî ðàçíûå, íåâåðîÿòíî ÷óòêî è òî÷íî ïåðåäàþò ïåðåæèâàíèÿ ñâîèõ ãåðîåâ, òâîðÿò ïîäëèííóþ èñòîðèþ ëþáâè è äåëàþò ýòî òàê, ÷òî ìû âåðèì êàæäîìó âçãëÿäó, êàæäîìó ñêàçàííîìó (è íå ñêàçàííîìó) ñëîâó. Áåðòîëó÷÷è ëèøíèé ðàç íàïîìèíàåò íàì, ÷òî îí - âåëèêèé ðåæèññåð è âåëèêèé ðàññêàç÷èê, ñïîñîáíûé èç òàêîé ïðîñòîé,íà ïåðâûé âçãëÿä, èñòîðèè ñäåëàòü ñòîëü èçÿùíîå, òèõîå, ÷óâñòâåííîå êèíî, ñìîòðåòü êîòîðîå õî÷åòñÿ, íå óïóñêàÿ íè åäèíîãî êàäðà. Ýòî î÷åíü êðàñèâûé è ëè÷íûé ôèëüì. |
